Quiet Earth is an evolving practice exploring death, dying, grief, ritual, making and our relationship with the natural world.

Shrouds

At the heart of Quiet Earth are natural, handcrafted shrouds for burial and cremation, made by artist and death doula Rachel Hawthorn.

Each shroud is made with care from natural materials, with a connection to place, land, plants and the elements. Shrouds can be commissioned directly by individuals and families, or ordered by funeral directors on behalf of their clients.
